Checkra1n jailbreak and checkm8 jailbreak exploit were swirling around the jailbreak community past week and now on a stable position. Checkra1n jailbreak has been released finally after a long waiting.
This is still in beta stages but anyway users can download this checkra1n jailbreak beta version. What to expect in these beta jailbreak tools are bugs and unexpected stucks. So the developers request users to be careful in installing this jailbreak until a firm release.

Checkra1n jailbreak latest version
The latest version is beta 0.9.2 at this moment.
New features added to this 0.9.2 version are;
- Improve reliability of entering DFU mode
- Fixed an issue where the Apple Watch would not receive notifications while jailbroken
- Fixed an issue where checkra1n could not be used on macOS 10.10
This beta adds an option to boot into no-substrate mode. To utilize this functionality, hold the volume-up button when the Apple logo appears until the device finishes booting. From there you’ll be able to uninstall any tweaks causing you issues and reboot to get back to a normal jailbroken state.
Checkra1n jailbreak supported devices
This jailbreak does not support iPhones which are higher than the iPhone X. iPhone 5s – iPhone 11 will be supported by chekcra1n jailbreak.

This 0.9.2 beta is only available for macOS. Work is ongoing to support Windows and Linux, which will be added in their later releases.
Supported Package Managers
Still, checkra1n only supports Cydia. Other package managers will be supported by checkra1n eventually.
How to use Checkra1n Jailbreak
Here is a step guide explaining a full detailed guide of checkra1n installation.
Step 1: Download checkra1n jailbreak from here. (Make sure you use Mac)
Step 2: Open the app. Checkra1n will now detect your device.
Step 3: Now put your device into DFU mode.
Step 4: Your device will boot into jailbroken mode automatically.
- If you reboot the device without checkra1n, it will revert to stock iOS, and you will not be able to use any 3rd party software installed until you enter DFU and checkra1n the device again.
- The Checkra1n app doesn’t open inside the DMG. Follow the instructions in the DMG file and drag the app to the Applications folder.
Step 5: Now you will see the Checkra1n app of Home screen of your device
Step 6: Run the Checkra1n app and the Loader screen will launch. Once it does, tap on Cydia and Install it.
Step 7: After Cydia has been installed, your iPhone or iPad will respring again. Once it does, you will see the Cydia icon on the Home screen of your device
That’s it. Everything is done and you have jailbroken your device. These steps would do better in the latest iOS 13.2.2.
Since Checkra1n jailbreak is a semi-tethered jailbreak, you will have to jailbreak your device again by connecting it to your computer if you reboot it.
